Because it is Thanksgiving, or at least it is to traditional Americans. I know, or I have heard that Canadians also have a similar holiday a few weeks earlier. I believe because their harvest would be slightly earlier because of cooler temperatures as we travel north, therefore the harvest is probably a little bit earlier.

The reason for this post is because of the day.

The easiest thing I have found to help others is by going to the “Hunger Site” and donating food.

It isn’t like so many other sites that have the false ads, or collect e-mails to spam, or anything else. It is just a matter of going to the site, clicking on their small button/banner and one of their sponsors donate a small amount of food to a hungry person in the world.

It would seem that with all of the people on the internet that there would be such a response on that type of site, that just about everyone, regardless of where they are located, would take the minute or less to go and do one click.

I clicked and it said someone will get 1.1 cups of food. Under this announcement, it lists a bunch of small banners showing the companies that donate the food. You obviously pick up cookie because you are allowed one click per day.

It costs you nothing, and it is a good deed. Because it costs nothing I believe it is the best way there is to help someone.

There are other charities that work the same on the site.

These are Breast Cancer, Child Health, Literacy, Rain Forest, and Animal Rescue. These are tabs across the top of the page that opens at this link to the Hunger Site.

You can click any of them to help those charities.

It is relatively difficult to believe many people don’t know about this site, but I have mentioned it to people I meet, and they don’t, so I hope this convinces a few people to take that minute to go there and make their click.

For the skeptics, I would like to add that any person that has a banner, text ad, or any other type of promotion for the hunger site, gets nothing from posting links and banners to them.

I put it on this site as I believe people should donate the food. I further don’t believe it matters who gets the food.

My guess is that the sites sponsors probably donate in the tons of food range because it is free to donate. Nothing comes from your pocket.

It’s just a chance to do something nice for someone and it doesn’t cost a dime.
