I am a 26yrs old, am a native of Maine and have lived in Aroostook
county my whole life. Now I live in Bangor. I have a strong back, work
ethic and sense of respect. I want to work as a deck-hand or work on
the waterfront.

I have this young man's information and can put you in contact with him, if you are interested.

I am an Inlander from Northern Maine in Aroostook county...enough said. Mud molestation?? I wasn't aware that residents or non-residents actually owned "mud flats". I was under the impression that no one owns below the high water mark. I may be wrong, i am from inland, remember that, so correct me if I'm wrong. This is all a learning expirence for me. I have never seen so many cars parked along a mud flat that it congested the highway or caused traffic problems. So for ----- sakes what's next? Who thinks they own the ocean?? I am looking for work on the water front and would'nt mind digging clams while waiting for someone to contact me and looking for work as a deck-hand. How ever I'm not sure anymore. I sure as hell don't want to have to carry my 270 to work every day to protect myself from angry residents, towns folk or seasonal occupants who want to lay claim to areas within the high water mark. Now, you can't get mad at me. I am an inlander and don't know much about the laws or "rules" reguarding claming or anything else to do with work on the water front. However, I am a Mainer, and have been all my life. So why can't a man go out and earn a living in this rough econemy without having some ---- on his back complaining about what he does below the water mark as long as he's folling the rules and laws and respecting the "mud" he's digging in? Yes, you should cover up and fill in the holes, no argument there. Well gotta go. Please educate me futher on the rules and "ethics" surronding claming. There just seems to be much conflict when it comes to digging or putting pots out to close to you or the island or whatever. sincerly, Tavis

No problem, just thought when I read the comment, that it would be more in that area.

Before the DMR and the government is done, we may all be out of business.

Sounds like you are up north. You might want to let people know what areas you are looking for work.

Hello,

I am looking for one used wooden arch-shaped (not square)
lobster trap for an art project I am doing. . . with the netting inside. Please e-mail me if you know of any - and how much. I live in Pennsylvania so I would have to pay to have it be shipped. My brother lives in Belfast, ME and is looking too.

Thanks, Anne
