I had a few hundred traps of which I recently sold most of but welcome those with lobster gear or used lobster traps to post here as the site does get a few visitors looking for used lobster traps.
I do feel that there is a pretty good market for used lobster traps as orders for new traps seems to be very low, much like new orders for lobster boats.
You can just put the information about your gear or used lobster traps in a comment and visitors can find it. If you just select or to be notified about new posts in the comment section, you will be e-mailed if someone is interested.

I have a little over 100 3′ lobster traps I am selling. A guy is going to look at them, probably this week. If you are interested, just check back and I will post whether or not they are sold.
The rest of what I had for used traps has been sold.
I haven’t gotten paid for the over 300 traps that I sold to two Maine Lobstermen. I don’t enjoy being nasty but if I don’t receive payment very soon I will post their names here to let others know not to deal with either of them.

i am looking for old wooden lobster traps in any condition. if anyone can help please let me know. i am not looking to pay $40.00 to $50.00 per trap.
I’m a US Soldier from the upper Westchester NY now stationed in Germany with my family.
I’m looking for a (complete) old wooden arched roofed lobster trap to display in front of my house. A small reminder of my childhood memories and to display a unique American Tradition for our European friends.
